ILMUNC Latam

Letter from the Secretary-General

Dear Students and Educators,

My name is Jesse Van Doren, and I serve as Secretary-General of the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference (ILMUNC), a nonprofit organization run by students at the University of Pennsylvania that organizes Model United Nations conferences around the world. It is with great enthusiasm that I invite you to attend the inaugural ILMUNC Latin America Conference this spring, from May 28th to 30th, in San José, Costa Rica, at the Radisson Hotel.

ILMUNC Latin America offers students the opportunity to explore international relations, develop their public speaking and diplomacy skills, and connect with fellow aspiring leaders from across the region. Our committees will address pressing global issues and welcome delegates of all experience levels, with committee sessions offered in both English and Spanish. Led by an experienced Secretariat of University of Pennsylvania students, the conference will also offer opportunities to learn about the college application process and student life in the United States.

ILMUNC is proud to bring its Model United Nations experience to Latin America for the first time, and we are excited to build a conference that fosters cross-cultural exchange, critical thinking, and meaningful dialogue. We hope you will join us in launching this new initiative and help make the inaugural ILMUNC Latin America Conference a memorable educational experience.

Best regards,

Jesse Van Doren
